We raise the profile of the Dorking brand with local, national and global coverage using multi channel, integrated marketing and PR campaigns. We have generated earned media and press coverage through our creative campaigns, placemaking and events programmes. 

Alongside this we support businesses practically and strategically to help them thrive, feel supported and build community

We engage in a variety of projects across our four work streams as noted in our Business Plan. Examples of our events and projects include.

• Supporting our BID Businesses through regular Business Events including Training and Networking
• Enhancing the public realm through the provision of  hanging baskets around the town on lampposts and properties, Christmas Trees, lamppost banners highlighting Dorking’s attractions, artistic planters and regular litter picks.
• Footfall driving events that bring businesses and the community together to celebrate in style. This includes our award winning VE Day event and Walking Festival, Annual Christmas Festival, Food and Drink Week and family activities which we host during school holidays. We have added the Festival of Light, Vintage Day and the Festival of Good Living to our calendar to really highlight the spectrum of great things on offer in Dorking.
• Business Directory and highly optimised website which ranks in the top 3 for all key Dorking search terms. Alongside our highly engaged social media and enews channels, Hello Dorking ensures that our businesses are discovered across all digital media.
• Seasonal guides delivered door to door to promote businesses and events in the town centre.
• Retail Crime Prevention, by working with Surrey Police and facilitating the DISC crime reporting system to ensure high level reporting and deterrance.
• Representing Dorking and it’s businesses through collaboration with partners such as the Neighbourhood Area Committee, High Street Positives, Circular Dorking, Mole Valley Chamber of Commerce, Surrey Chamber of Commerce, Visit Surrey, Surrey Hills Enterprises and Surrey BIDs Together
