Every year, Dorking transforms into a hub of festive cheer with our Christmas events and activities and 2025 is going to be no different. Read on to find out about our Christmas Festival, Christmas Trail, Christmas Guide and Small Business Saturday event, that will all bring a sprinkle of Christmas Cheer and Magic to Dorking!

Christmas Festival – Sunday 30th November 2025

Roll up Dorking! Join us in the town centre on Sunday 30th November 2025 from 11am – 5pm for a Circus Themed Christmas Festival. You’ll find street performers, a fun fair, market stalls, live music across 4 performance areas, Santa’s Grotto and Family activities. Plus our town centre shops and businesses will be open and spreading Christmas cheer!

Small Business Saturday – Saturday 6th December 11am – 2pm

Return to the town to continue your Christmas Shopping with our amazing independent businesses. Around town you will find Carol Singers, live performance, a mulled wine and hot chocolate stand and a cheeky elf making sure we all get on the nice list. Plus there will be free parking on this Saturday and on 29/11 and 13/12 in all Mole Valley District Council Car Parks.

Late Night Christmas Shopping – Thursday 11th December

Join our amazing independent shops and businesses for an evening of Late Night Shopping on Thursday 11th December until 8pm. Why not stay for a meal and some drinks afterwards in our fabulous bars, pubs and restaurants.

Christmas Trail – Saturday 22nd November – Monday 5th January

Explore our town and look for Mini and Maxi Sleighs and Gingerbread Men made by the wonderful Dorking Men’s Shed and sponsored by Cunningham Eves Solicitors. Pick up your entry forms from S C Fuller, Dorking Halls or download here from 20/11.

What time do the Christmas Festival activities start and finish?

The festival runs from 11am to 5pm on Sunday 30th November 2025, with performances, markets and entertainment throughout the day.

Is there an entry fee for the festival?

No, all our Christmas events are free to attend. Some activities may have individual charges.

Where can I park during the Christmas Festival?

Parking is free in all Mole Valley District Council car parks on 29 November, 6 December and 13 December and free all day every Sunday. However, some roads will be closed. See our Road Closures and Transport Info for details.

Will local shops and cafés be open during the festival?

Yes, Dorking’s shops, cafés and restaurants will be open and welcoming visitors throughout the day.
