Experience the magic of Christmas in Dorking this year! On Sunday, 1st December, Dorking’s High Street will transform into a winter wonderland with the DorKingdom Fairytale Christmas Festival. This all-day event will be filled with festive activities, unique gifts, and a vibrant Christmas atmosphere that’s perfect for families, friends, and visitors.

Begin your day exploring the Surrey Hills Artisan Market, where local artisans offer an array of handcrafted gifts, seasonal treats, and delicious food options. As you browse, you’ll find Dorking’s shops and businesses dressed in their Christmas best, creating a beautiful and festive backdrop.

For families, the day offers a wealth of free activities, including Santa’s Grotto, live performances, and holiday workshops that bring holiday joy to children of all ages. As evening falls, stroll through the town centre under twinkling lights, creating the perfect setting to capture holiday memories.

Special Attractions:

  • Christmas Competitions: Join Hello Dorking’s Christmas Competitions with categories for photography, drawing, and window displays. Winning entries will be showcased at the festival, adding an extra touch of community creativity.
  • Christmas Trail: Starting on 13th December, the Christmas Trail invites families to explore Dorking town centre, spotting festive clues in shop windows with a chance to win prizes, including a Family Cinema Ticket at Dorking Halls.
