In Dorking, our community is built on the strength of local connections and mutual support. Today, we are shining a light on Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society, a local care home that provides much more than just a residence for our older community members.

More than just a home – life at Nower House

Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for its residents through a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. Far from being a quiet retreat, the home is a hub of activity designed to foster physical health, mental wellbeing, and social connection. Residents regularly enjoy:

  • Social & Creative Workshops: From arts and crafts sessions to musical afternoons, creativity is at the heart of daily life.
  • Wellness Activities: Gentle exercise classes and garden walks ensure that staying active is an enjoyable part of the routine.
  • Intergenerational Projects: Abbeyfield frequently opens its doors to local groups, ensuring that residents remain an integral part of Dorking’s wider social fabric.
