Cobbetts Beer Shop Micropub

Cobbetts is an independent beer specialist, and the business comprises a shop and micropub that supplies great beers and ciders to local and regional customers.

They feature beers from local producers, and stock both UK and worldwide beers in bottles, cans and on tap. Country wine, mead and a locally produced gin (from the Gin Kitchen, Dorking) are also available. They are members of CAMRA and were featured in the 2018 Good Beer Guide.

One of the current owners has a familial link to Surrey, indeed the store is named after their Farnham-based great, great, great, great uncle Williams Cobbett. However, they had a more popular reason for choosing Dorking for their business:

“[Dorking] has a great range of independent shops…. [it’s] unique in comparison to many town high streets. Everyone here is friendly and supportive… [and] every time you turn a corner you see the glorious hills in the background. As a town that once boasted the most pubs per capita we feel we blend right in.”
