If you want to fill the half term days without hearing “I’m bored” every five minutes… Dorking’s got plenty going on! ☀️

With parks, soft play, games, crafts, swimming and sweet treats, there’s loads happening across town to help make the most of the break.

Take your time and stroll around Meadowbank Park – see the baby swans and moorhen chicks (make it even more interactive by buying bird feed from Café Connect!). Then grab a coffee in the sunshine while the children let off steam in the nearby playground.

Fun is waiting at Silvermere Softplay, where children and young people are welcomed to unleash their energy. And Burgundy and Black has an under 5s Softplay section, along with all your café favourites and outdoor seating.

Game N Play is great for family members of all ages – try board games old and new along with lite bites, sweet treats and drinks to sustain you to the win!

Fans of Pikachu and the gang won’t want to miss the Pokémon Swap Event at The British Bookshop on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th May. There’ll be card swaps, play doh, and a welcoming space for families (including quiet times for SEN families too).

And remember Hello Dorking’s free K-Pop Demon Hunter Meet & Greet in St Martin’s Walk. Come along on 29th May from 12pm – 2pm for singing, dancing, games and glitter tattoos!

There’s a packed programme at Dorking Library too, and Dorking Sports Centre offers family fun swims, inflatables, table tennis, toddler world and junior gym sessions.

And for curiously crafty minds, there are still tickets left for Adventures in Science by Crafty Fools at Pippbrook House on Thursday 28th May at 2pm.

Of course, half term isn’t complete without treats… find waffles at Sweet Willow, bubble tea at Putty Cakes, smoothies at Harts at the Courtyard and lots of lovely cafes to choose from.

So if you’re looking for family things to do in Surrey this half term, make a day of it in Dorking. 💛

Save this post so you have all the inspiration you need for half term.
