Surrey hairdresser and salon owner Teresa Weller is celebrating an exceptional moment in her career after securing finalist positions across three of the UK hair industry’s most prestigious national awards, and winning Best New Salon at the Hair Magazine Awards and Design Salon Silver Winner at the Salon Business Awards. This marks a major milestone for both her personally and for Teresa Weller Hair Art in Dorking.
The accolades include recognition for salon design, alongside Teresa’s own shortlisting as a Bridal Hair Stylist finalist, highlighting both her creative artistry and her leadership as a salon owner. Collectively, the finalist places reflect strength across multiple disciplines – from commercial vision and design to technical skill and client experience.
With hundreds of entries submitted nationwide and judged by expert panels, being named a finalist across all three awards and a winner in two, underlines the calibre, consistency and ambition behind Teresa’s work.
Commenting on the achievement, Teresa says:

The awards success comes during what has already been a landmark year for Teresa, following the relocation of Teresa Weller Hair Art to its striking new home within Dorking’s historic Rotunda building. The move saw Teresa undertake a major renovation of the iconic 1928 landmark, transforming the once-empty space into a luxury, open-plan salon that blends Art Deco character with modern design and state-of-the-art facilities.
Widely praised since opening, the Rotunda salon represents the culmination of Teresa’s three-decade career in hairdressing, bringing together her experience in high-end colour, cutting, bridal and session work within a space designed to elevate both client experience and team creativity.
