The Dorking BID sends a huge thank you to our volunteers and community partners for joining us for our BIG HELP Street Clean Up, 15th September from 9 to 2pm. Dorking is looking mighty fine and we are grateful to our team of 24 volunteers to showed up and made it possible:
- Aviva
- Dorking BID Businesses and BID Directors
- Circular Dorking
- Friends of Dorking
- Men’s Shed
- Women’s Institute
This is just one part of our rejuvenation. When we keep our town tidy, it encourages people to shop, stay, enjoy, visit, and invest. It increases town pride.
Thank you BBC Surrey for asking us to be on the radio today with James Cannon and to David Tobitt for sharing our story. You can tune in at 02:22:29 to hear his interview.
Thank you to our BID businesses for pitching in and sweeping their shopfronts and to our residents and community partners for joining in.
Finally thank you to the Mole Valley parks and parking team for their collaboration, sharing tools and for collecting the approximately 50 rubbish and recycling sacks for us.
We will host another street clean up prior to our Christmas Festival on 3rd December, so stay tuned and sign up for our newsletter to stay in the know. If you’d like to volunteer with the BID, please contact us at info@dorkingtownpartnership.co.uk.
