Are you passionate about Dorking? We are, and we have a vision for our future that includes collaborating with our community partners to get there! We are pleased to report that we will have 25 amazing volunteers joining us on the 15th September from 9:30am to 2pm. Thank you!
We have incredible community spirit and invite you to join us as we are working to do our part in keeping Dorking green, clean and as beautiful as ever. The Dorking BID invests in stationary street planters, hanging baskets and regularly sweeping our shopfronts. Thanks to our community partners like the Men’s Shed and Friends of Dorking, the URC, local residents and our businesses, we have installed bold, themed floral displays, creative art displays, and a vibrant place for our residents and visitors to enjoy.
We’ve been approached by residents, charities and employees of local businesses asking to collaborate with the BID and we welcome you to join us. Inspired by The BIG HELP OUT, the Dorking BID is collaborating with volunteers in our community to keep our Dorking high street clean and tidy for all. In addition to regular street cleansing provided by Mole Valley District Council and Surrey County Council, we are exploring all ways to keep Dorking tidy.
Join us, everyone is welcome.
The first ‘Big Help Out Street Clean Up’ will be held 15th September, with more to come. We hope you will join us. We will provide you with the kit (but you’re free to bring what you like); you need only show up.
