To help you plan your day at the DorKingdom Fairytale Christmas Festival on Sunday 1st December 11am – 5pm we have a map and programme available to download.
- Find out in advance where our Snow Globe, Santa’s Grotto and Funfair are and all our amazing festive activities are to plan your day.
- See where our town centre car parks are (further details can be found on Mole Valley District Council’s website). Parking is free in town centre car parks on a Sunday. Please be considerate to residents when parking in the town.
- Dorking is also blessed with 3 train stations and several bus routes so do consider using public transport to attend the festival. View our transport page for details.
- Remember to visit our artisan market stalls in the High Street, South Street, St Martin’s Walk and new for 2024, in the White Horse Hotel courtyard.
- You’ll find live music from local groups on the main stage in the High Street, compered by Mark Carter from BBC Radio Surrey, and musicians in South Street, West Street, St Martin’s Walk and Old Kings Court throughout the day.
- Downs Solicitors are also hosting family activities in their office in the High Street with Miss Ballooniverse further up in Dorking Travel.
- The URC in West Street are also hosting a Christmas tree festival, our schools art competition, dance groups and a Christmas sing-along and refreshments from Dorking Nursery..
- St Martin’s Church are hosting craft activities, hand bells, bell ringing carol singing and refreshments from 12 – 5pm
- You’ll also find free face painting in St Martin’s Walk and free storytelling in Narnia at the Old House at Home as well as many festive food and drink stalls.
- Finally, don’t forget many of our retail and hospitality businesses will be open for Christmas shopping and for a much needed pit stop as you enjoy all the festive wonders on offer in Dorking town centre.

Other great activities happening on the day
The Cycle Collective, St Martin’s Walk will be having a pop up tap room with DropKick Brewery.
Tracey’s Sewing Room, North Street will be running simple craft activities and refreshments in store.
Arrack Bar will have Richard Anderson playing in the bar from 4pm.
Gardenscapes, West Street will be offering Christmas refreshments.
Dorking Library in St Martin’s Walk will have a Lucky Dip activity and will be available to chat about their Super Access Library Services. They will be running some Super Access sign up sessions in the library both with booked in sessions and drop-ins on the day.
Marino’s Fish Bar on the High Street will be frying from 12pm – 7pm for your fish and chip fix!
Crossways Church on Junction Road are holding a Christmas Crafternoon from 12:00pm – 3:00pm.
The Kings Arms, West Street have market stalls and a Christmas Photo Opportunity.
Swirl Wine Bar have a Wreath Making workshop from 10am – 12pm. Booking essential.
