Pippbrook House has a few skeletons in its closet… And this Halloween, you’re invited to see them.
Because Dorking Halls is inviting you inside for two evenings of suitably spooky entertainment!
Friday 30 October, 7.30pm – Vampirology: The Science of Horror’s Most Famous Fiend
Join Dr Kathryn Harkup for a fascinating look at the science and stories behind vampires. From frightening folklore and blood-sucking bats to the sinister science behind Dracula, this promises to be a rather different sort of Halloween history lesson!
Saturday 31 October, 7.30pm – The Others
Nicole Kidman stars in this chilling 2001 mystery drama about a mother protecting her two children in an isolated mansion where all might not be quite as it seems. And we can’t think of a more fitting place to watch it than the Gothic surroundings of Pippbrook House!
Two nights, two ways to celebrate Halloween, and one building with a spooky reputation of its own.
But before the entertainment, the legend…
Watch out when you arrive… there is a ghostly butler that watches passers-by from the upstairs windows.
When you’re inside look out as you pass the staircase, it’s haunted by a mysterious Grey Lady.
And beware the angry poltergeist that has been known to throw knives down the stairs!
It’s an atmospheric setting for a Halloween night out – are you brave enough to go inside?!
Both events are presented by Dorking Halls at Pippbrook House – book your tickets through the Dorking Halls website.
