Thank you to BBC Surrey’s James Canon for having us on the 2nd May (02:40:26).
And just in case you missed our on-street reporter at The Big Help Out on the 8th May, we’ve provided links below. Tune in to BBC Surrey and listen to our BID Manager chat with Mark Carter, Executive Director of BBC Surrey, sharing our plans for the DorKing Coronation. Hear what the Dorking BID had planned for the day at 7:40 (01.43.46)
Kathy spoke about what the Dorking Community has to offer with Krys O’Brien throughout the day at 12:10 (02:07:20)
Krys spoke again with the Martineau Brass Quintet (02:49:00)
She then spoke with our brilliant judges of our Community Spirit Awards (44:47), Jarmila Yu of Yunique Marketing/Enterprise Nation and Chris Howard, Chairman of Visit Surrey.
Krys went on to speak with Niall from the Rampant Roosters (02:50:34), one of the five acts who performed at the DorKing Coronation, to include the Martineau Brass Band, Lucy’s Dance Project, the Dorking Choral Society, and the Show Choir.
Krys caught up with the oldest shop in Dorking, S.C. Fuller and how they are modernising and using modern technology called LoyalFree to engage customers and even be more sustainable. (01:51:10)
Krys was kind enough to provide a brilliant overview and wrap up to the day on the 9th of May (38:56) and allowed us to share all that was on display and on offer – over 5,000 people had joined us at that point – what an amazing day we had:
👑 A free, fun DorKing Coronation Window Art Trail by Sam TM and Dorking LoyalFreeApp, with a chance to win special prize hampers sponsored by Waitrose
