Hello Dorking Good Living Festival
Sunday 13th to Sunday 27th September 2026
We are delighted to announce the Hello Dorking Good Living Festival running from Sunday 13th to Sunday 27th September 2026. It promises to be 2 weeks of Flavour, Fresh Air and Feeling Good and showing off all the great things that Dorking has to offer.
We want to showcase as many businesses and community organisations as possible during these 2 weeks, so we are asking you to submit events or workshops you would like to take part in. They can be absolutely anything as long as they fit the following criteria.
- Flavour – this could be a tasting event, cookery class, or meet the supplier/maker. This is separate from our Food and Drink market and show kitchen, please contact rosie@hellodorking.com if you are interested in taking part in those.
- Fresh Air – A bike ride, running meeting, outdoor sports or pursuits. This is separate from our walking festival, so if you want to submit a walk for that click here.
- Feeling good – There is so much scope here; a book club event, art exhibition or workshop, yoga class, family activity, music – the ideas are endless and we look forward to seeing your ideas.
- Where? – The event must take place within the business improvement district town centre area (if it’s a run or cycle ride, it must either start, finish or come through the town). You can see what that area is here.
- Bookings – You are responsible for managing bookings for your event, and if it involves a charge, you will need to manage that yourself too. It is up to you whether you charge or not for your event. It can be an opportunity to offer a free taster or try something new.
- Does it have to be new? – Not at all. If you are already running something during the fortnight, that’s fab. Enter it in for some free publicity and to attract new people to your organisation.
- Health and Safety – You will need to ensure you have adequate Public Liability Insurance for your event and a comprehensive risk assessment. We can help with a template, but the health and safety of your event remains your responsibility.
There is no charge to take part in the festival, and in return you’ll be included in all our publicity, which will include Festival brochures that will be delivered extensively in the local area, coverage on our dedicated webpages, social media to our highly engaged channels, coverage in our newsletters, all of which will bring new people to your activities for free!
Fill out the form by Friday 15th May and any questions just drop us a line to info@hellodorking.com.
