Time to Browse

Many of our independent shops open on a Sunday for you to find the perfect gift for you or a loved one. That Lovely Shop, The Lemon Tree and The Fig Tree are all close to each other giving you the perfect browsing triangle to find your next unique purchase. Or head down to St Martin’s Walk to visit The Historical Herbologist, an apothecary store is a treasure trove of botanical-inspired products from sustainable British brands

In West Street both Sandrock House and Talbot House Antiques are open on Sundays. Sandrock House is an eclectic and enticing interiors shop who also stock Kathy Kyle’s wearable art too. Talbot House is 4 floors of antiques and we challenge you not to find a gem to take home with you.

If vinyl is more your thing check out Spin Sounds in South Street. It may be small but it’s collection of music is huge. Or if you are off for a bike ride and need some accessories or essentials head to The Cycle Collective in St Martin’s Walk , who also serve excellent coffee

Sunday Lunch

We have at least 7 pubs and restaurants serving up Sunday Lunch so there will be something for all tastes and pockets. Take a look at our dedicated roast dinner article here.
