At Naturalmat we’ve been hand making organic beds & mattresses at our workshop in Devon since 1999. Sustainability has been at our core since day one. We’ve always used natural, organic materials from renewable sources, we pioneered sustainable packaging and installed solar panels on the roof of our workshop. In 2020 we received a Queen’s Award for Sustainable Development and in 2023 we became the first B Corp certified bed & mattress company in the UK. We have Showrooms in Devon, Cornwall, Cotswold, London and Knutsford and we’re opening a new Showroom in Dorking. We are looking for a Full-Time and a Part-Time Showroom Consultant to help run it.
About the role
Our showrooms are calm and welcoming spaces where we encourage customers to spend a good amount of time (often hours!) finding the right bed and mattress for them. It’s an extremely personal choice and the service provided by our team is the most important element of that visit in ensuring they find the right one for them. The Showroom Consultant role will be to ensure that every customer that walks through the door receives impeccable service.
We are looking for someone who can offer great customer service, has retail experience. Previous experience working in furniture retail or luxury sales would be ideal, but not crucial. Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest services. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, taking orders accurately, and assisting with any requests they may have.
· Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcome.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings, including daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring all dietary requirements are noted.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while maintaining attention to detail.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
· Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong upselling skills with the ability to promote menu items effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary standards.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for processing payments accurately.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Team player mentality with a willingness to help colleagues as needed.
