Dorking diners can delight in a tasty discount at 22 participating establishments during August under the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme.
Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 3rd and 31st August, diners will get a 50% discount on food and soft drinks (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner) when they eat or drink in at a participating outlet.
Reflecting on the benefits of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, the Dorking Town Partnership Manager, commented: “Our lovely town is very much back in business and has a lot to offer, including a warm welcome at our fantastic restaurants, pubs, cafes, sandwich shops and coffee shops. In addition to enjoying some great food and drinks at discounted prices, customers can also enjoy a vibrant range of shops and businesses throughout the town, with plenty of glorious open spaces perfect for relaxing and enjoying being outside in too.”
No voucher is needed to claim the Eat Out to Help Out discount as it is automatically applied by the establishment (who is then reimbursed by the Government, so businesses are not out of pocket), and diners can eat out as many times as they like within the duration of the scheme. The Eat Out to Help Out promotion applies to each diner in a group of any size, there is no minimum spend per person and the scheme can also be used at the same time as other offers and discounts.
Talking about their decision to participate in the scheme, David Cook of Arto Restaurant said: “Come and Eat Out to Help Out in one of Dorking’s excellent restaurants in this historic market town, surrounded by the beautiful Surrey Hills countryside – what more could you ask for?”
Also signed up for Eat Out to Help Out is SORREL whose Reservations Manager, Jennifer Dennel commented: “It is a great initiative and reminds people just how much the hospitality industry is relying on everyone to see us through the period ahead. We’re pleased to be taking part and appreciate the support we’ve been shown by the Government and our guests.”
Considering the pandemic’s enormous impact, Nicky from Red Bar & Lounge said: “I’m sure this scheme will be greatly appreciated by members of the public as well as businesses like ours whose income has been, and continues to be, hugely affected. We hope all our loyal customers will take full advantage of Eat Out to Help Out and we look forward to welcoming lots of new faces to Reds for a delicious meal too.”
Announcing the full list of 22 participating Dorking venues, DTP’s Manager continues: “Eat Out to Help Out will benefit the whole town and I urge residents and visitors alike to fully engage, making the most of eating out more often – and paying less! – in a variety of fabulous Dorking venues. As the scheme is Government funded, it’s a win-win for diners and the businesses taking part, who literally stretch from one end of the town to the other!”
