Hello Dorking is getting into the Christmas (window competition) spirit in the lead up to Christmas and we want to hear from you.

Support our local business community and get into the Christmas spirit by recognising their value to the community and our borough by shopping local this Christmas.

We are kicking it off this year with our Very Dorkensian Christmas campaign to encourage businesses and residents to come together and spread Christmas cheer!

The Dorking BID is a business led organisation that is hosting the Christmas Festival, and we are holding a variety of fun, friendly competitions to find the best Business Christmas window display. Approximately 25 percent of annual sales happen during the holiday season. Even in the digital age, holiday windows still drive sales. Let’s give our businesses a chance to shine.

So use your windows to showcase what you’ve got, both online and offline. Share a photo of your decorated window on your digital channels, tag us at @hellodorking, and we will promote you!

How to participate

Submit a photo of your window display to Hello Dorking by December 8. We will ask the public to vote for the winner between the 11 and 17 December, with the winning business announced on Monday 18 December.

Entries can be submitted to info@dorkingtownpartnership.co.uk and they will be uploaded here where the public can vote for their favourite shop window.

Voters Win

This competition is being sponsored by The White Horse Heartwood Collection and a lucky winner who has voted will be selected at random to win a £150 voucher to stay at the Inn as well as a bottle of champagne.

Businesses Win, Too

The winning business will receive a feature on Hello Dorking’s social media platform.

📸 The window in this image belongs to South Street Gallery. The artist whose work you see in this window is the amazing, award-winning Twinkleton ⭐️. Their collaboration is inspiring! Twinkleton is one of the award winners from our Coronation event and you can find her displaying her work on our high street and at various events, markets and art exhibitions around town. We’ve been told by the shop and artist they’ll be open during the Christmas Festival, so don’t miss it!
