Christmas in Dorking is such a wonderful time, but with everything going on it’s easy to forget to look after ourselves. We asked the fabulous team at Frith Pharmacy in South Street for their top tips to help you stay healthy and happy this Christmas
1. Enjoy the Treats, but look after yourself too
Stay hydrated and rested amid the festive indulgences, using electrolytes to prevent dehydration and reduce fatigue, and digestion aids for good gut health or if you’ve simply overdone it a bit. 2. Keep Colds and Flu at bay
Winter bugs are doing the rounds, so a little protection goes a long way. Our pharmacists can guide you with supporting your immune system to shorten the length and severity of cold and flu symptoms with Vitamin and Supplement options. We’re also offering flu vaccinations right now (Free Online NHS for many)
3. Stay warm and ward off winter sniffles
When the temperature drops, keep cosy with layers, hot drinks, and early nights. Our range of hot water bottles are ideal, but if you catch a cold ask our pharmacist first, so we can recommend the right medicines and advice, as you often don’t need to see your GP for minor illnesses
4. Don’t forget to treat yourself as well
With all the excitement — and occasional stress — that comes with the festive season, don’t forget to look after yourself too. Taking time to unwind can make all the difference. Run a warm bath with relaxing salts or beautifully scented Roger & Gallet soaps and luxurious cream or enjoy a bit of men’s grooming care after a busy day.
