We’re excited to announce that the Dorking Library of Things is officially open! This fantastic new initiative is a community-led venture created by Circular Dorking in collaboration with Dorking Library, designed to help local residents save money, reduce waste, and make the most of our community resources.
What is the Library of Things?
The Library of Things allows you to borrow items you need rather than purchasing them, helping reduce the hassle and cost of ownership. With over 50 items currently available, you can borrow everything from carpet cleaners, toolkits, pressure washers, games, to camping gear. This initiative not only helps you save money but also promotes sustainability by reducing waste and unnecessary purchases.
How to Get Involved:
- Browse the inventory and sign up for free to borrow the items you need.
- Donate items in good condition to expand the collection.
- Support financially to help grow and maintain this valuable community resource. If you wish to contribute, reach out to Circular Dorking directly.
Managed by dedicated volunteers from Circular Dorking and supported by the Dorking Library staff, this project hopes to expand further with the community’s help, growing to include hundreds of items in the future.
Join us today! Borrow what you need and help make Dorking more sustainable.
